Staring At The Sun
“When I was a kid my father used to say
I had dreams when I was your age.
I don’t get it. Why do people change?
I swear I will never be that way.
Staring at the sun, I see a brighter day.
Should I look away?
Staring at the sun, I feel it’s warm embrace.
Should I walk away?“

Gorgeous photo and so many layers of resonance with that poem beneath it. Looking at your photo and reading those words is as good as seeing the real thing - inspiration on a grey day - although grey days have their own beauty and inspiration; still when it can't be summoned a long drink of your shot would certainly conjure what is needed. Thanks, Paul!
ReplyDeleteThank you Marie!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you see the inspiration that I felt here.
Those words came from a song by Wendy and Lisa that I always sing to myself when walking alone on a sunny day.
